What To Expect

During your child's first dental visit, our team will take the time to get to know your child and address any concerns or questions you may have. We will discuss your child's oral health history and conduct a thorough examination of their teeth and gums.

We may also clean your child's teeth and provide fluoride treatment to help strengthen their teeth and prevent cavities. If necessary, we may also take dental radiographs to assess your child's dental development and identify any potential issues.

Transparency is Key

We understand that it can be nerve-wracking for both you and your child to visit the dentist for the first time, which is why we go above and beyond to make sure your child feels comfortable and relaxed during their visit. Our friendly and compassionate staff will take the time to explain each step of the process and answer any questions you may have.

Overall, our goal is to provide your child with the highest quality dental care in a warm and welcoming environment. We look forward to meeting you and your child and helping them achieve and maintain a healthy, beautiful smile.

Can I Accompany My Child?

We encourage parents to relax in the waiting room and allow our staff to accompany your child through their dental experience. Although it may seem intimidating to the entire family, we can assure you they will be in good hands!

At Houston’s Pediatric Dentist, we are all highly experienced in helping children overcome anxiety. Separation anxiety is not uncommon in children, so please try not to be concerned if your child exhibits some negative behavior. This is normal and will soon diminish. Studies and experience have shown that most children react more positively when permitted to experience the dental visit on their own and in an environment designed for children.
